"We tried a different daycare that was a little more convenient for our work locations, but we didn't even last a full day before begging for our spot back!"
My husband and I cannot say enough great things about St. Michael's! Our son has been attending since he was 4 months old, and as a family we instantly felt right at home there. Vena, Mary, and the entire teaching staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. More than anything, they truly show a love for all the children and really care about them. They know each child and their parents by name, greet you in the hallway, classroom, or passing by the office, and show a real interest in everyone's well-being.
Though in a dated annex of the church, the facility and toys are all kept very clean, sanitary, and safe. The infant room is virtually 'crash-proof', and our son never came home with any bumps or bruises, even when learning to crawl and stand. All of the teachers he has had show an interest in his learning and progression, giving daily reports of everything they are working on with him so we can continue the same at home. In his entire time there, he has always been happy to get to St. Michael's in the morning and has never once been crying or upset when we picked him up in the afternoon. It's also a great feeling getting pictures of your smiling child texted to you from the staff during the day. What more could a parent ask for than knowing their child is happy...
We tried a different daycare that was a little more convenient for our work locations, but we didn't even last a full day before begging for our spot back! She made magic happen, moved some things around, and took us back the next day. We will forever be grateful for this, and can not imagine taking our little man anywhere else!

"Our son absolutely ADORES his teacher and the daycare staff! He arrives and comes home happy EVERY day, and this is a tribute to all the love and care he gets from Mary, Ela, Vena, and the rest of the teachers."
We started our 1.5 year old at St. Michael's last year, and couldn't be more happy with this daycare and its caring professionals. Starting daycare as first time parents during a pandemic was nerve-wrecking, but we really appreciated all the extra precautions the staff took to keep the facility clean, testing after travel, and increasing handwashing throughout the day. It's no wonder they went almost two years without a single COVID case!
Pandemic aside, our son absolutely ADORES his teacher and the daycare staff! He arrives and comes home happy EVERY day, and this is a tribute to all the love and care he gets from Mary, Ela, Vena, and the rest of the teachers. Since starting at St. Michael's, he's grown by leaps and bounds, and is always coming home with new words, songs, phrases (in English and Spanish! We also really appreciate their philosophy of talking through feelings, giving them space to work through emotions, and learning to interact and play as a community! Even though our son is technically enrolled in the infant/toddler daycare, we really feel as if he's already enrolled in a legitimate preschool program.
Communication is always spot on. From our first interview over the phone, to emails, texts, and parent conferences, Mary always responds in a timely manner, and is so instrumental in helping us to understand what to expect, and how to manage our child's every-changing development. As a teacher myself, I know a good one when I see one, and Mary is a true professional in her work as an early childhood educator.
These first years of development are so critical, and we feel so lucky and confident in our decision to send our boy to St. Michaels. My wife and I can't recommend them enough! :)

"Everyone tells me how smart our kids are and I attribute this to their 9 hours a day with the wonderful caregivers at Saint Michael's!"
I wish I had the words to really capture how much we loved and cherished our time at Saint Michael's! We had both our children enrolled from 8 months to 2.5 years (first born), and 4 moths to 1 year (second born). Our first born left speaking Spanish and being full potty-trained, fully ready for preschool. Everyone tells me how smart our kids are and I attribute this to their 9 hours a day with the wonderful caregivers at Saint Michael's. The director is available way more than she should be... she dedicates 1000% of her heart to the kids enrolled. What a special place we will never forget!

“We have been so impressed by the communication with us and the center's genuine care and love for our son. It truly feels like a family there, and we can't thank them enough. ”
Our son has attended St. Michael's since he was only 4 months old, and we feel incredibly lucky to have come across this place! He absolutely loves it there and all of the wonderful teachers and close friends he has made. He loves them all so much, he never wants to come home at the end of the day!
We can tell he has learned and developed so much under the care of the St. Michael's staff. They are already helping him become potty trained, use an open cup and utensils when eating (and he's still just under 18 months!). We continue to be thoroughly impressed each day with how much he is growing there. The day is full of activities and they teach an age-appropriate curriculum based on which class he is currently in (right now he's learning animals, ABC's, counting, colors, sorting, arts/crafts, music, and outside playtime). They also teach in English and Spanish, which is very impressive.
The directors, Mary & Vena, are wonderful and are constantly in contact with us about our son's progress. Mary always provides excellent advice as we sometimes have questions or need guidance as we are raising our first child. We have been so impressed by her communication with us and the center's genuine care and love for our son. It truly feels like a family there, and we can't thank them enough. I highly recommend St. Michael's if you are in need of childcare/preschool for your little one. I am definitely recommending this center to my closest friends who will have children in the near future!

“I feel strongly that my child's strong early development is due in part to how they teach and the excellent environment they create.”
We've had a great experience at St. Michael's from the first day on. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness in developing the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of my son - they follow the philosophy of Magda Gerber (or PITC), which focuses on recognizing and respecting the needs of individual children, and promoting learning through play and fun exercises. I feel strongly that my child's strong early development is due in part to how they teach and the excellent environment they create. And my son is always happy and exhausted by the end of the day, which is all a mom could ask for. We love this place!

"From the beginning, it was clear that all of the staff teach and care for each of the children with great love. Our son runs into the school each morning with excitement!"
Our 20 month-old son has been attending St. Michael Infant daycare and Preschool since he was 5 months old. From the beginning, it was clear that all of the staff teach and care for each of the children with great love. Our son runs into the school each morning with excitement! We have been impressed with how much he has grown and learned from and interacting with the teachers and with other children and have felt both satisfied and confident in our decision to send him there.
Mary is incredibly responsive via email and the daycare is able to provide extra hours (for a reasonable cost) if additional care is needed outside of the standard hours. This has been very helpful for our family. She provides a formal progress update with families every 6 months and is always available to answer the parenting questions that have stumped us. While COVID has limited our ability to visit inside the daycare, we have felt incredibly lucky to have found a place that has used careful precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy while still ensuring that each child feels loved and special.
We definitely recommend St. Michael!

"I recommend St. Michael to any parent . They hit the trifecta for me. I trust them, my kid loves it, and she's learning/growing beautifully."
I recommend St. Michael to any parent . They hit the trifecta for me. I trust them, my kid loves it, and she's learning/growing beautifully. When our daughter was an infant, I knew I could count on the staff for support, advice, and daily updates on her progress. She was clearly in the hands of loving professionals. Now that she's older, I can see the many skills she's learning at school - sharing, taking turns, potty training, Spanish - it's fantastic.
Mary, Vena and Ela have insight about every single kid, and delight in each one. I'd describe our communication as 100% transparent, non-judgmental, and child-first. I know I can ask or tell them anything to do with my kid and her time at school, and I'll get honest, timely responses.
I have a lot of respect for the way St. Michael handled COVID. They have a well-thought-out and faithfully executed plan that considers the safety of children, staff, and families. The other St. Michael families are warm and friendly, and also follow the COVID rules without exception.
I'm about to have my second, and there's no question where we're taking him for daycare!

"We had her in 2 different schools prior to finding St Michael. She would cry and didn't want to leave the car at the other 2 places. On our first day picking up from St Michael, she was happy! "
The teachers and staff at St Michael go above and beyond for our child daily. When she was 18 month old we started enrolling her in school. We had her in 2 different schools prior to finding St Michael. She would cry and didn't want to leave the car at the other 2 places. On our first day picking up from St Michael, she was happy! On the 2nd day, she walked in by herself, and it's been like that every day since. She's learned so much there. She talks about her teachers and friends. We get picture and video updates from the teachers. The front entry into the school is secure. We have been very happy here and have recommended the school to all parents looking for a daycare/preschool.

"St. Michaels cares about not just our baby but the whole family. Mary is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, nurturing, and has met every need we have had. "
My son started at St. Michaels at six months old, and I can't say enough good things about the staff and the infant care. I was sad and hesitant to return to work after maternity leave, and Mary made the transition to daycare smooth. St. Michaels cares about not just our baby but the whole family. Mary is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, nurturing, and has met every need we have had. We get pictures and videos during the day and detailed written updates at the end of the day about how the day went. He comes home happy and is excited to go back the next day. St. Michaels helped us with developmental transitions, and it is so neat to see our son learn and grow because of the fantastic care he gets during the day. The staff is professional, experienced, and genuinely caring. They also offer nanny care on weekends and holidays, which is a wonderful bonus. St. Michaels makes you feel like part of the community from day one.

"This place is filled up with sunshine and love."
We have been at St. Michael preschool for more than 1 year now. This place is filled up with sunshine and love. Our toddler likes to go to the preschool, and enjoys the accompaniment of Teacher Ela at preschool. Thanks to the help from teachers and other kids, our toddler occasionally brought home delicate handmade holiday gifts for mother and father, which really made us feel warmhearted.
We feel that we are lucky to be kept tuned when having Mary sharing daily catch ups, sending weekly updates and notice, and also holding periodic long-briefings with us. With the guidance from the preschool, our toddler successfully and promptly finished potty training. When knowing our toddler was still co-sleeping with us and woke up occasionally during midnight, Mary kindly explained the benefit of sleeping in a separate room, and gave us detailed easy-to-follow instructions. Now the toddler, and the mother and father all have more quality sleeping time.
The preschool strictly follows the CDC guidelines. Both teachers and kids need to take their temperature in the morning. All staff members are mandated to wear masks. I think Principle Veena managed the place very well.
They end their weekly hours at 5:45 pm. And they offer holiday and weekend day care service, which is quite convenient for us. They have a large parking lot with about ~20 spots.

"I'll be honest, at the time we wanted to keep our options open and continued to look at other daycare centers in the area. However we have quickly realized that we found the right place."
This review has been a long time coming. Our son has been at St Michael's for over 18 months now. We started when he was 5 months old and he just turned 2 a few weeks ago. We were new to the area when we started and were lucky that St Michael's had an opening. I'll be honest, at the time we wanted to keep our options open and continued to look at other daycare centers in the area. However we have quickly realized that we found the right place. Our son's transition went smoothly. Every day we picked up a happy baby. His sleeping schedule was perfect. The teachers and staff at St Michael's have been very helpful and flexible every step of the way as our son transitioned from a baby to a thriving toddler: from starting solids, cutting naps and ditching a paci to potty training (with the right guidance it turned out to be way less scary than I thought!). Our son is a very picky eater and St Michael's teachers and administration have been very helpful with dealing with that and following all of the recommendations of our feeding therapist.
As first time parents we are very grateful for the help and guidance. It truly feels like with the staff of St Michael's we are on the same team that is invested in our little guy's well being and development.
To put it simply, our son has been very happy at Saint Michael's and he is old enough now to tell us all about it! He loves his friends and teachers and runs to the car excitedly every morning.
We also occasionally take advantage of the nanny care service that St Michael's offers on weekends and holidays. So convenient! It has been a life saver during Covid times where we try to limit our exposure to the outside babysitters etc.
I would be happy to recommend St Michael's to everyone who values the quality of care and individual attention.

"My 17-month old has been at St. Michael since he was 3 months old, and absolutely loves it - he literally screams with delight when it's time to leave for school. "
My 17-month old has been at St. Michael since he was 3 months old, and absolutely loves it - he literally screams with delight when it's time to leave for school. When he returns home, he loves to tell us all about his teachers and the time playing outside. Mary, Ella, and Betsy are so loving and caring and my son has learned so much so quickly in both the infant, and now preschool, programs. He is talking, singing, learning new skills, and loves to play outside with his friends. Since the pandemic hit, they've taken new precautions to ensure that the kids (and therefor we, the parents) are safe -- which is such a blessing when so many people are without school or childcare. Lastly, I love that they go the extra mile and help us with our at-home sleep schedules, guidance on eating, etc. They truly know and love our kids, which is exactly what I want for my son.

"11 months into it, it has been the best decision we have made!! We have been sending our son since he was 5 months to St. Michael's and have loved every minute of it. "
The best advice I got from working moms when discussing how to select a daycare for our infant is to set the cost aside and ALWAYS stick to the one place that your child loves. An unhappy infant/toddler in daycare makes for future daycare experiences an unpleasant reset.
11 months into it, it has been the best decision we have made!! We have been sending our son since he was 5 months to St. Michael's and have loved every minute of it. He is now 16-months old and we see how much he loves going, and how much he is loved by and cared for by the staff and teachers. He is learning so much from his friends and teachers and the social aspect is something our son craves. We get ongoing communication throughout the day of photos and videos that show us how much fun he is having. As new parents, we've also leveraged the collective expertise of the staff and the director there - it has helped tremendously from everything from nighttime routines, transitioning to solids, to best recs for tot cots. Additionally, when the area moved into shelter-in-place, the director arranged for weekly Zoom visits to ensure that there was continuity for the students and families to connect. When it was safe for us to go back, they instilled lots of new routines and protocols to ensure the safety of the kids (& families) as well as their staff so that everyone remained COVID-free.
We would highly recommend any family to St. Michael's!
